A lineup of FREE AYO Summer Concert Series can never be wrong. Music to soothe the beast, calm the soul or get the adrenaline pumping; be you a classical connoisseur or simply just love music, there's something for everyone. The Australian Youth Orchestra have 4 days of music for you, so head to Elder Hall at the University of Adelaide, North Terrace, Adelaide in January 2019 on the following days and times. Admission is FREE but please register your interest HERE.

Sat 12 - Orchestral Concert from 4-6pm and 7.30-9.30pm
Thu 17 - Advanced Chamber Music from 8-10pm
Fri 18 - Composition Concert from 5.30-7.30pm and Brass & Percussion Concert from 8-10pm
Sat 19 - Orchestral Concert from 4-6pm and 7.30-9.30pm

With a lineup of professional musicians, enjoy solo appearances by pianist Anna Goldsworthy, trumpeter David Elton and violinist Dale Barltrop and two symphony orchestras led by esteemed conductors Giordano Bellincampi of the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra, and Ariel Zuckermann of the Israel Chamber Orchestra.

Particularly exceptional is that these concerts feature 220 of the country's most talented young musicians who fought through a highly competitive audition process to earn their seat in the orchestra. Come along and listen to symphonic greats by Beethoven, Mozart, Mahler and more, plus some hidden gems such as Hugo Wolf's Italian Serenade, Manuel de Falla's Three Cornered Hat suite, and an Australian orchestral work by composer Melody Eötvös.

When: Sat 12 to Sat 19 January 2019 from 4-6pm and 7.30-9.30pm on weekends (12th & 19th); 8-10pm on Thu and 5.30-7.30pm & 8-10pm on Fri.
