Awakening! So It Begins...
Art and Design Precinct

The Art and Design Precinct in West End is starting off the New Year with an exciting new exhibition of local art integrated with an interactive sound display. The inspiration for the exhibition is appropriate for the New Year, being "Awakening", which heralds new beginnings and new ways of seeing. Set in their cosy West End location, visitors will be able to view artworks while listening to an accompanying sound track, especially matched to reflect the artwork and to offer visitors a new visual and auditory experience.

This year the gallery will be introducing a range of new events, including music evenings where you can meet and chat with the performers, such as an "Intimate evening of music with Amon and Audra" on Saturday 1st February. Also on offer are artist workshops, such as "Journey Into Abstraction" which will take you through the process of starting out and eventually producing your own abstract masterpiece, which will take place on January 25th. Another interesting event taking place on Wednesday 22 January, will be a kitchen information night with Gem'Appelle Designs which will incorporate cooking demos and product information with the Kitchen Designer Grant Hitchcock there to answer all of your questions.
