Getaway to Bribie and stay at Avon Lodge
What could be better than a night or three at a wonderful B & B on Bribie Island? One with a pool, sauna, and spa, with luxurious rooms in a quiet are of Banksia Beach on Bribie? The place to stay is Avon Lodge.
It is easy to drive past, but the white Balinese flags stand out. Unless you've been before you might initially think it is just another ordinary house in the street on the way to the Pacific Harbour Golf and Country Club.
On entering Avon Lodge you will immediately discover that there is nothing ordinary about this B & B. There are four lovely private rooms each with ensuite, television and all that guests would need for a leisurely peaceful stay.
The lounge-kitchen area is delightful with a wonderful collection of art, some Balinese, some from Thailand, and all part of a delightfully intriguing collection. The rooms are spacious and delightfully decorated, and host Paula Scott is keen to help all guests enjoy their time. Her breakfast menu is always popular!
Bribie Island has plenty for the visitor – beautiful beaches to walk on, the Art Centre for those who enjoy the arts, the Seaside Museum at Bongaree, great shopping, the beautiful vista from the beachfront at Woorim, and the delightful sunsets from the Bongaree/Banksia Beach area. Of course there is the adjacent Pacific Harbour Golf and Country Club, and a wide selection of wonderful restaurants for lunch and evening dinner. Paula will make sure that you know all that Bribie has to offer the visitor.
