Avoca Valley Bed and Breakfast

If I were to sum up
in one word, it would be
beautiful. Set on a 2.5 acre property the hinterlands of Avoca, the purpose built B&B is a picturesque, private retreat with a touch of France about it. Soon it will even become a venue for weddings (small, pop up ones, but you get the idea).
There are
three rooms to choose from here--the Queen Luxury, King Luxury and King Spa suites--all catering for adult singles or couples only (so, no children). They're dressed in a soft, airy styling and have their own en-suite, wardrobe (with a bar fridge) and private balcony.
The accommodation is in a separate section of the building to the residence, and has its own entrance, parking and even backyard area. I stayed for a night during the middle of the week, and unusually, no-one else was there, so the design of the place made me feel like I had the whole, beautiful property to myself; just me and the birds, who sounded just as happy about it as I was
A night at
starts at only $190 and includes everything you'll need; all linen, towels and cutlery are provided. There's complimentary Wi-Fi, lots of books, magazines and DVDs, and you can help yourself to tea and coffee (there's even an espresso machine) whenever you want.
is a nice place to lay your head down at night, to say the least, but if you're here for a special occasion, or just want to treat yourself, it can be much more than that too;
three different packages combine nights here with extra experiences that turn your stay into a very memorable experience.
Included in all of them is a
two-course dinner for two at the
L'isle de France Restaurant in Terrigal, only about ten minutes away. I found this to be an absolute blessing, because I didn't have to figure out where to get dinner, not to mention the fact that the food was amazing. Also included in all the packages is a
one hour, in room massage (for each person) by
The Massage Spa . This was the first massage I'd ever had and I'm definitely a convert now.
If you're staying for two or more nights, some of the other inclusions you might get, depending on your package, include a seafood platter, a psychic reading, a private yoga session, a beauty treatment, and more. You can find information on all the rates and packages
here . A two night stay is required if you book near the weekend, but for a midweek stay, a one night stay is fine.
If you do book a stay, one thing you must check out is
these travel directions , if only briefly. The bed and breakfast is accessed via a shared driveway and its address often confuses navigation systems (my solution was to just set my destination as a nearby road instead). Not a big deal, but if you don't read this information and end up being directed to the wrong place, it'll just start your trip off on a bad note.
