In order to see the nighttime feature of the town's silo , we thought we'd stay in Avoca itself. We had a look around and decided on as our home for the night. Centrally located on High Street, the motel offers a variety of ground floor rooms with reverse-cycle air-conditioning to keep guests cool in summer and warm in winter.

Our deluxe queen room was clean, comfortable and very spacious. We had ample space to put all our bags and still be able to walk around without bumping into each other. There was even a sofa in the room, in addition to the usual flat screen TV, fridge and electric kettle. We also had a microwave and toaster which ended up not being used since breakfast was included. Our booking stated that there was no meal option with the room, however, at check-in, we were told to help ourselves to cereal, toast, fruit, coffee, juice, etc at the 'wreck shed' in the morning. That was a pleasant surprise and very much appreciated.

The motel's outdoor area and driveway are huge. I could simply park my car right in front of the room. Overall, we were very happy with our stay. If you ever need a place to recuperate after a long drive, feel free to head to Booking.com and reserve yourself a room for the night. The motel unfortunately doesn't have a website of its own.
