Avoca Beach is a patrolled surf beach and is located on NSW Central Coast, approximately an hour north of Sydney and south of Newcastle. It stretches along residential coastline from The Entrance down to MacMasters Beach.

The beach is ideal for swimming, surfing and fishing and for children there is a rockpool.

As this is a popular tourist destination, you will also find plenty of cafes, restaurants and shops and kids can play at the enclosed playground which is located near the surf club. Toilets and showers are located right near the beach as is a small car park.

For something different, enjoy a movie at the Avoca Beach Picture Theatre, a family run beachside boutique theatre which presents independent and foreign films.

Avoca Beach holds grower's market every 1st Sunday of the month and Avoca Beachside Markets every 4th Saturday.

If you wish to learn how to surf, Central Coast Surf School offers a range of lessons for beginners through to advanced and can also help with surf and bike hire.

Whether you are looking for a dreamy beachside escape or a family holiday, the options for accommodation on Central Coast are endless. Choose from private cottages, beach bungalows, b&bs, apartments or caravan parks. Avoca Beach's popular accommodation includes The Palms at Avoca Caravan Park, Avoca Beach Heritage Villas, Avoca Palms Resort Apartments and Treetops Resort Avoca Beach.
