Anime and cosplay artists and gaming legends have a feast of entertainment this July and August in Adelaide.

There's International Cosplay Day and Game Obsession Expo in August, but to start the adventure in style, the Anime and Video Game Convention is soon to take Adelaide by winter's storm.

AVCon 2017: Adelaide's Anime and Video Game Convention is back for its 15th year on the 21st July to 23rd July, 2017. Hosted by Team AVCon Incorporated, it will be an Adelaide event spectacular no to be missed at the Adelaide Convention Centre, North Terrace, Adelaide.

Since 2002, Team AVCon have brought the best of anime, cosplay and video gaming to Australia. This year's event promises to be bigger and better, with an overload of action packed activities and brand new ideas.

Here's a reminder of the colossal 2016 convention to inspire you.

AVCon hosts many additional attractions. Among these include independent video game developer spaces, the Madman National Cosplay Competition and costume parades, along with guests, panels and workshops on these and related areas of interest.

Meet guest voice over artists and game developers as well as attend special guest panels at no extra cost.

This year's theme for AVCon 2017 is 'The Winter Festival', based on imagery from The Grateful Crane (Tsuru no Ongaeshi ), an emotive and beautiful tale from traditional Japanese culture and folklore.
