There are two types of people in the world: those who enjoy fun runs and those who couldn't think of anything more torturous. I fit in to the latter category. For me, the mere thought of putting fun and run in the same sentence raises a number of questions. That is not to say I can't appreciate the idea or admire the runners.
It was to my surprise that I discovered that there are literally hundreds of possible events for those who do want to participate in Melbourne Walks, Fun Runs, Bike Rides and Charity Exercise Events. Some are held often, for e.g., Park Run Victoria is a free weekly 5km timed run held every Saturday morning in several locations across the suburbs.
