Annual Autumn Show
Autumn is here - we can feel the weather changing every day; it's time to say goodbye to our long summer days and to start rugging up. It's also that magical time of year when Mother Nature puts on a spectacular show as the autumn colours fire up in their annual display.

For more than a month, starting from now and hopefully lasting all the way through to Mother's Day in May, the cool climate trees in the Mt Lofty Botanical Gardens will change their leaves and the colours will explode in hues of reds, yellows, and oranges.

The Adelaide Hills are always very popular for visitors in the autumn months. There really is no better time to visit than in the months of April and May - the gardens are in their prime and seeing the colours come alive are certainly worth the 25-minute drive up the freeway.

This year, to help celebrate the turning of the colours, there'll be a heap of activities and events on offer at the gardens - there'll be something for the green thumbs and for those whose thumbs are more black than green but who love and appreciate nature and beautiful gardens regardless.

The Gardens are open every day of the year (weather permitting) and entry is free. Car parking is just $2 for the whole day from Monday to Saturday and is free on Sundays. During the autumn season, be sure to get along on the weekends and during school holidays to take part in some fun family activities:

Great article Paula, but the drone rules have nothing to do with CASA, they are imposed by DEWNR/National Parks.

Well done, Paula, in the competition, I have only been for a quick look from the Mt Lofty Lookout, so must linger longer on our next visit, looks spectacular :)
