On the weekend of the 22nd and 23rd of April 2017, you and your family are invited to explore 6 beautiful Southern Highlands gardens.
Now in its seventh year, the 'Autumn Open Garden Weekend and Plant Fair' showcases stunning gardens which are rarely open to the public. Event goers are sure to be awed by the spectacle of colours and the amazing landscapes in both the smaller town gardens and large rural gardens.
This year, organisers have handpicked three town gardens located in Bowral and Burradoo; 'Carisbrooke', 'Yarrawin' and 'Retford Park' and three in the Wilde's Meadow area; 'Wildewood',' Dragon Farm' and '5th Chapter'.
Complementing the Open Gardens, is the second annual Plant Fair on the SHBG site, featuring many rare, unusual and hard to find plants. All plants are grown by the SHBG Plant Growers Group and it is a must for any plant enthusiast or gardener.
Come along on the 22nd and 23rd of April and discover some of the most picturesque gardens in New South Wales.
The gardens will be open from 10am-4pm over the weekend and the Plant Fair will be open from 9am-4pm daily.
Tickets are now on sale at www.shbg.com.au and will be available at each of the gardens on the events days.
Tickets are priced as follows:
$40 all weekend pass entry to all 6 gardens
$8 per single garden
This is the main fundraiser for the SHBG and all proceeds go directly to the Botanic Gardens.
