Autumn is here! In Adelaide, we are fortunate to be able to enjoy some gorgeous extended Indian summer days. Perfect for heading out to a garden event to get some inspiration for your sunburnt garden or just because you love all things pretty. Here is a selection of Adelaide's best garden events for Autumn, from garden club events to large garden expos for you to enjoy a lovely day out this Autumn.



MT BARKER AUTUMN ROSE SHOW
DATE Saturday March 24th 9am-4.30pm
VENUE Showgrounds, Wellington Rd.
See the best of the Autumn flush of roses from the cool Adelaide Hills at this rose show and club competition.



CACTUS AND SUCCULENT SOCIETY AUTUMN SHOW
DATE March 25th 2018 10-4pm $3 entry and kids free.
VENUE Payneham Library and Community Complex,
OG Road, Felixstow.
See some unusual and rare succulents at this show, with plant sales and cheap plants to add to your succulent collection.



SOPHIE'S PATCH EASTER OPEN GARDEN
DATE Easter Saturday March 31st Sunday April 1st
and Monday 2nd
VENUE Springs Rd Mt Barker
Celebrity gardener Sophie Thompson has a large country garden on the outskirts of Mt Barker. Hear ABC colleague, the enchanting Costa Georgiadis, speak in the shed on the Saturday and see cooking demonstrations by talented Heather Hristovski on Sunday and Monday at 12.30pm.
This event has a huge turnout, but there is plenty of parking in the paddock. Plus lots of activities for the kids and food and beverages, most made with products from the garden. Wear your walking shoes up in the cool hills and explore the large organic garden and browse the stalls. See more here.

SA ROSE SOCIETY AUTUMN ROSE SHOW
DATE Saturday April 21st from noon and Sunday 22nd 10am
VENUE Burnside Community Centre- rear of Town Hall, Portrush Rd, Burnside.
See the best autumn roses from these dedicated rose growers. Plenty of information and rose identification. This is a competition, so wander around and choose your favourite of the cut flowers.

**AUSTRALIAN PLANTS SOCIETY ( SA BRANCH)
AUTUMN EXPO AND PLANT SALES.**
DATE Saturday April 21st from 10- 5pm and
Sunday 22nd 10-4pm
VENUE Adelaide Showgrounds, Wayville.
Held every Autumn and Spring, this is a big event with sales, demonstrations and lots of things to learn. This year features a bushtucker, edible plants theme. Read more autumn expo news here.



SA AUTUMN GARDEN FESTIVAL
DATE- Sunday April 29th 2018
VENUE- Clare Showground on the Main Highway

Come and be inspired at this big event. Over 60 stalls with lots of garden equipment and decor, plants, advice and more. Guest garden experts are Tino Carnevale, Amanda Reynolds and Karen Montgomery. Take a picnic lunch and enjoy the autumn weather. Entry Adults $10, Concession $8 and kids free. Free car parking at showground.





ENFIELD HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY AUTUMN SHOW
VENUE Klemzig Community Hall
DATE Unfortunately there are no details on the Facebook site , so please send them a message or check dates before you go. I think it may be around the weekend of April 21st also.

242 North East Rd, Klemzig. Be dazzled by the lovely Autumn flowers such as dahlias and more at this usually afternoon show. Plants for sale. Entry $2

FESTIVAL OF FLOWERS
DATE April 21st and 22nd 2018 10am-4pm
VENUE St Paul's College, 792 Grand Junction Road, Gillies Plains.
Many garden clubs will be in attendance. Lots of plants to buy. Watch some demonstrations. Have a chat to some experts. Giant raffle and sausage sizzle and refreshments available.

SCULPTURE FOR INTERIORS AND GARDENS EXHIBIT
DATE Friday 28th April - Sunday 7th May
VENUE Stangate House 3 Edgeware Road, Aldgate.
See selected garden sculptures in this special autumn exhibition. There will be a "Creative Day" on Saturday 29 April.
Cost: The exhibition is free but The National Trust (Mt Lofty) request a $5 donation to see the house and gardens.



STIRLING AUTUMN GARDEN FESTIVAL
DATE Sunday May 5th
Set in the surrounds of the stunning autumn colours of Stirling's main streets area and two parklands which are closed to traffic. This is a huge event with over 100 stalls - there is much to see and do, so come early and stay for the day. Demonstrations and talks and lots of trader stalls. Bring your carry bags.
