The great Autumn Fest is returning to Dandenong's Wachter Reserve on Sunday 2nd April 2017 and it's going to be huge. Everyone, including the family pooch, is welcome and with a huge line-up of live entertainment, workshops, activities and more on offer you certainly won't want to miss all the fun.
From the write up on the Greater City of Dandenong's website, there is enough to fill an entire weekend happening at Autumn Fest this year. Starting with the free amusements, come along and try a round of bubble soccer or the inflatable obstacle course. There'll be a giant slide, soccer darts, climbing wall and jumping castle, and did you catch the part back there where I said this was all on offer for FREE?
Still going under the banner of FREE are workshops and activities like face painting, circus play, art & craft workshops, Bob Till You Drop workshop, an animal farm, Milking on the Moove, a special play area for kids under 5 and caricatures for kids and dogs. Double wow.
Roving entertainers will be performing alongside some other very talented performers on the main stage. Take a seat and enjoy demonstrations by the Melbourne Ballet School, "Woof" Jazz Dog Band, Koala Gymnastics, Razor the Raptor, a magic show at 2pm and more.
So your furry family member doesn't feel left out, there'll be a lure course for them to try. Dogs can sniff, jump and chase to their heart's content in a safe and controlled environment. There'll also be some interactive dog training games for you both to enjoy. Plus, the Greater City of Dandenong's Animal Management Team will be onsite providing free microchipping for any new pets registered on the day.
Please note: Autumn Fest is a drug and alcohol-free event.
Autumn Fest is being held on Sunday 2nd April 2017 from 11am to 4pm at Wachter Reserve, Kingsclere Avenue, Keysborough (next to Parkmore shopping centre). Entry to Autumn Fest is free.
