I think that we have all been guilty of clearing our wardrobes and then leaving clothes to be donated sitting in bags for longer than we're proud of. But you can fight the piling of donation bags as well as combat fast-fashion with the Cambridge Autumn Community Clothes Swap!
Taking place on Sunday the 23rd of February, 12pm to 2pm at the Nerida Social Space (room on the left as you enter the Library), Cambridge Library, 99 The Boulevard Centre, Floreat
Invite your friends and family, so there are plenty of sizes and styles for everyone to choose from!
This is a free event, and there is recommend parking on the upper-level carpark at Floreat Forum accessed from The Boulevard for easy access to carry items from your car to the event.
You can bring alone all adult men and women's clothing and accessories in a presentable and wearable/usable condition, and they encourage quality clothing that is clean and undamaged, with a longer potential lifespan. If you could please bring hangers to hang your items on that would be greatly appreciated.
Underwear and children's wear are not accepted so please donate these of your own volition.
Here is a rundown of how it all works:
1. Clean out your wardrobe, drawers and storage and select your pre-loved, good condition clothes, jewellery and shoes that you'd like to donate.
2. Bring your items on hangers and place them on the racks according to their sizes and then browse the racks and take the items you'd like. You can come and go at any time you like between 12.00 pm and 2.00 pm on the day!
All items that have not been swapped will be donated to local charities by the Town
