Book launch at Capalaba Library for history buffs
James G. Lergessner is one of Queensland's most distinguished historians, biographers and memoir writers. Formerly a university professor of education and an academic consultant within Australia and internationally, James is also a passionate observer and recorder of life and events in Brisbane, the State of Queensland and Australia. He has published 24 books (19 non-fiction and five fiction works) related to early Queensland; namely Brisbane, the Caboolture Shire and Moreton Bay Regional Council areas, Bribie Island, and Australia generally.
Dr Lergessner will be presenting his latest book, The Brisbane I [/Used To Know, at the Capalaba Library on Friday, the 9th of August. The novel captures Brisbane's suburban heartland over six decades and is a love letter to those who remember the past and those who want to know the history.
