It's not every day that an international bestselling author graces our shores to promote their latest book. Unless they already have strong ties to Australia, or their book is set in a local vicinity, it is extremely unlikely that they will make the long trip across the Pacific to visit their loyal Aussie readers.

One person who has decided to make that journey however is renowned author Paullina Simons, who will be visiting a range of metropolitan and regional Australian towns on a tour to promote her latest novel, Children Of Liberty.

Best known for her novel The Bronze Horseman, its following two novels, and a host of other titles including Tully, A Song In The Daylight and Red Leaves, she will be making her presence felt in Geelong on Friday 16 November.

At 11am, she will be visiting Dymocks Geelong in Market Square Shopping Centre for a book signing. Fans will be able to meet with Paullina and get copies of her books signed. Her latest novel, as well as a backlist of her previous novels, will also be available for purchase on the day. As a free event, it will be well worth attending if you enjoy reading her novels.

For those wanting to experience a more in-depth literary discussion, then The Sands in Torquay will be the place to go. Hosted by Torquay Books , Paullina will be attending a literary lunch, where the audience will have the opportunity to hear all about her latest novel, as well as her writing experiences, while dining on a delicious lunch from the restaurant chefs. The lunch will begin at 12pm, and tickets cost $45 (available for purchase from Torquay Books).

Paullina Simons has an enormous global fan-base, and has sold over two million copies of her novels in Australia alone. These two events, based in Geelong, provide the perfect opportunity to meet the famous author, get some of her books signed, and earn bragging rights by saying that you have conversed with a famous writer.
