Join award-winning children's author, Dimity Powell for an uplifting afternoon of fun, feathers and story sharing as she launches her latest picture book, PIPPA.

Pippa is the delightful story of a little pigeon with big blue-sky ambitions: to fly solo and explore the world beyond her nest. Her parents are less than thrilled with their risk-taking feathered fledgeling and smother her with well-meant yet suffocating warnings until one day she ignores them all and takes the leap into the unknown…alone.

Meet Dimity and enjoy an afternoon of storytelling, book signing, lucky door and quiz prizes, and fun children's crafts. Fellow animal and bird lover, author Samantha Wheeler, will also be on hand to help launch Pippa, literally, into the wide blue yonder and you are all invited to watch Pippa takeoff.

The launch is taking place on Saturday August 3 from 3.30pm-5.00pm at Riverbend Books, 193 Oxford Street, Bulimba.
