For all the mums, dads, grandmas, grandpas, friends and family of little ones that have presents to buy this Christmas look no further than 'Australia's Biggest Toy Sale' at Target.

Whilst I'm never really keen 'promoting' big companies compared to the little local toy shop, it still becomes a battle of cost versus supporting locals. I love our little toy shop dearly and the ladies that own and run it work tirelessly to keep it open, so I support them as much as possible. However once a year when the Target toy sale is on I will admit I browse for the best buys and pounce if it's a great saving on something the kids really wanted.

I have noticed many people struggling financially this year that will want the very best price before placing items on lay by for Christmas this year. Target always has shelves with 50% off in the sale, but I have found if you're looking for anything in particular you need to be there on the first day of the sale for the best toys at the best prices.

Be warned though that the Target toy sale looks a bit like boxing day sales with people getting carried away pushing trolleys that couldn't possibly hold one more item inside it and go straight to the lay by section to queue with dozens of others waiting in line to be served.

Australia's biggest toy sale starts on June 26, however the catalogue has not been released as yet, though the online catalogue will be released on the 19th of June but will not include prices until the 26th of June. To be one of the first to receive a catalogue online, register your name and email address with Target.

Target has more than 300 exclusive toys that include Barbie fairy tale doll with unicorn, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Lego super heroes( Batman), Skylanders bundle packs and much much more.

New this year is Target's toy sale app which will be launching soon.

Target also have a toy price guarantee that if you find the same toy cheaper elsewhere they will match it.

Targets hours of opening will vary depending on what state you're in, but extended hours will be offered in all stores for the toy sales with our local store being open from 7am - 12pm.

Happy toy shopping and bargain hunting!
