Australia's Biggest Morning Tea is a fun fundraising event where you can contribute to raise vital funds for cancer research, prevention and support services. Morning Tea is officially held on May 26 but any date in May is fine.

According to one of its numerous ambassadors, Ed Halmagyi, "the event is not just raising money for medical research, (while that's fantastic), it's about raising awareness and raising hope."

Most of its ambassadors have firsthand knowledge and close encounter with cancer, either from closely related families or friends, and are aware about the importance of this event. You can help tip the balance by becoming an ambassador and by giving your precious support to Cancer Council of Australia.

By joining forces with Cancer Council Australia, your money will help in different ways to improve their efficiency in fighting cancer. View how your money helps here.

Host the Morning Tea or invite yourself to the event, be an ambassador or a corporate sponsor, there are loads of ways you can contribute and help fight this deadly disease which is most likely to affect 1 out of 2 Australians by the age of 88.

Unlike any other events, Morning Tea can be held almost anywhere and is the perfect excuse to enjoy a brunch with your colleagues or invite family and friends at home, for a worthy cause. Another wonderful idea for a successful Morning Tea is to host it during an existing event or at school/university.

Whether you want a quick and simple Morning Tea or planning a large event, it is quite easy to make it successful, depending on your creativity. Click here for more tips on how to host a successful morning tea and view yummy recipes for your Morning Tea here.

A good planning beforehand is more likely to make your event a hit. Here's a website where you can view ways how to plan your event perfectly.

Another great way to raise funds, especially if you lack space or time, is to set up your online fundraising page and collect your donations online. If you are hosting a morning tea, It is also the most effective way to promote your event, be it on facebook or by sending invites to all your contacts by mail.

If you own a company and wish to lend a helping hand, find out how your company can help as a corporate sponsor here.
