The 12th annual Australia's Biggest Duck Race returns to the banks of the Brisbane River at Riverside Drive, West End on Sunday 14 October 2018.
Come join in the quaking good fun from 11am and help raise vital funds for cancer research.
The family-friendly event will feature kids' rides, shows and activities, live stage music, delicious eats from the Regatta Hotel and of course, ducks galore!
Start your day at the Go Quackers Kids Zone and meet Festival Ambassadors and Network TEN personalities, Ollie and Elly from Toasted TV. You can explore your inner artist and make your very own yellow rubber race duck and kids catch the Totally Wild and Toasted TV live stage shows.
Kids can also enjoy airbrush tattoos, visit the animal farm, take on the climbing wall, have their faces painted and tuck into favourites like slushies, popcorn and fairy floss.
Mums and Dads can take a waddle down the Regatta Gourmet Street and feast on the yummy delights that make the Regatta Hotel a much-loved Brisbane icon.
At 4pm, the 'race that quacks a nation' will commence with 40,000 yellow rubber ducks tipped into the Brisbane River, turning the water into a sea of yellow as they race along a 100m course in the fight against cancer.
The first duck to beak over the line wins their lucky duck ticket holder $25,000 cash or a car. Second prize is a $10,000 boat & $400 BCF voucher, thanks to the Port of Brisbane.
Other event highlights include the always popular Giant Duck Race, in which brave competitors onboard giant inflatable ducks battle down a 50-metre course on the Brisbane River. Be prepared for a laugh or two as this race never disappoints!
There's also the Regatta Ducks Nuts Inn - an adult's only space where you can pull up the perfect pew and catch all the festival's best action! The Inn will be 'ducked-out' with a bar serving up all your favourite drinks too!
Australia's Biggest Duck Race is the PA Research Foundation's flagship fundraiser for cancer research. To support this initiative, you can purchase a single duck in the race for $5 or a whole flock! There's also a wonderful range of merchandise including key rings, hats and plush ducks.
