Australians & Hollywood: A Tale of Craft, Talent, and Ambition exhibition is a Canberra-exclusive celebrating iconic moments in contemporary Australian film and the people and stories that brought them to life.
Two years in the making
Australians & Hollywood will be on display at the
National Film and Sound Archive of Australia from 21 January to 17 July, 2022.
Australians & Hollywood features never-before publicly seen props, costumes, original documents, and footage from the NFSA collection, as well as exclusive loans from the private collections of some of Australia's most celebrated actors, cinematographers, and filmmakers.
Get up close with personal treasures from some of Australia's most celebrated creatives in cinema, including Eric Bana, Paul Hogan, Baz Luhrmann and Catherine Martin, David Michôd, George Miller, Norma Moriceau, Mia Wasikowska, and more.
From the striking customised steering wheels of
Mad Max: Fury Road and the costumes from
Moulin Rouge! and
The Sapphires, art concept books for
Romeo Juliet and the clapperboard from the 2021 sci-fi epic,
Dune.
