The Tattoo - The Love of Body Art
You either love them or you don't, however, many more people are today embracing the art of the "body ink the tattoo" as it is making a strong comeback.

The word "tattoo" comes from the Tahitian "tatu", which means to mark something. It is claimed that tattooing has existed for aeons, going back to 12,000 BC and the purpose being varied in specific cultures role of importance, ritual and tradition. Secret societies, clans and even bikie gang members use symbols to depict their status or indicate membership. Long ago it was believed that if a wearer wore a specific tattoo, for example, a tiger, then that person would take on the characteristics of the tiger.

From 20 to 22 July 2018, the Australian Tattoo Expo will be held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. The Expo commences at 10.00am on Friday 20th and concludes at 6.00pm on Sunday evening so there will be plenty of time for you to check out the stalls, talk to the tattooists or sit back and relax while watching your favourite artists create amazing designs, see the events on the main stage and cheer on the recipients for the awards being presented.
