September 26th to October 3rd 2015 marks the timeframe of the Australian Tap Dance Festival. It's a time to enjoy all things tap through not just performances but by learning and sharing as well. If you're a tap dancer, here's your chance to expand your knowledge and technique and immerse yourself in an environment of like minded others.
Theres something for everyone. The general public who don't tap will have evening events like the 'tap dance film night', 'jam night' with live musos and more. There's also a few free events like the absolute beginners class if you've never tapped before; lunchtime talk and jams; and you can learn the Shim Sham Shimmy, a famous tap finale created in 1927 by Dr Leonard Reed and his friend Willie Bryant. Make sure you start booking now for the events with a cost attached.
