So Frenchy, So Chic in the ParkVIC/NSW
One of the newest Summer music festivals is So Frenchy, So Chic in the Park. Currently held in only Melbourne and Sydney, the summer event is a celebration of French music, food and culture. In 2013, Mélanie Pain, Carmen Maria Vega, Revolver and Nadéah will entertain audiences - who will be dining on
delightful picnics boxes and hampers.

Big Day Out 2013NSW/VIC/SA/QLD/WA
The Big Day Out music festival returns in 2013 with the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, The Killers, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Vampire Weekend, Band of Horses, Foals, Alabama Shakes and Crystal Castles, just to name a few. In addition to the live music, there will also be fabulous festival food at
Chowtown, the Mexican wrestling bar
Lucha VaVOOM,
The Lillypad and
Foxtel MTV House Party.
As with most Big Day Out events, tickets have sold out, but you may be able to still
catch a sideshow or two.

St Jerome's Laneway Festival

For something a little different, check out the St Jerome's Laneway Festival, which in 2013 will host the likes of Bat For Lashes, Tame Impala, Yeasayer, Policia, Divine Fits and Of Monsters & Men. Affectionately known as Laneway Festival, this indie music event began in Caledonian Lane in Melbourne 2004. It now tours Australia, New Zealand and Singapore and proudly presents both Australian and International acts. Tickets are currently on sale through the
official website, plus a range of sideshows have also been announced.

Soundwave NSW/VIC/SA/QLD/WA
Metallica, Linkin Park, Blink-182, A Perfect Circle, The Offspring, Slayer, Cypress Hill, Bullet For My Valentine, Paramore and Garbage are just
some of the highlights of Soundwave 2013. Originating in Perth, Soundwave began to tour Australia in 2007 and has swiftly become one of the major rock, metal and punk music festivals in Australia. As expected, tickets sold out in record time, but check out the
Sidewaves, tickets are currently still available for some of the major acts.
