Do you have an extraordinary ability? Australian Skeptics want to see you prove it.

Australian Skeptics have issued a challenge to people who claim to have extraordinary abilities, such as psychics, mediums, witnesses to paranormal events, healers or people selling devices they claim can do something that defies the scientific laws, eg. producing unlimited free energy. The first person able to demonstrate such an ability or device under proper observing conditions and meeting the requirements of the challenge will receive the award of $100,000, not to mention the fame and prestige that goes with it.

Australian Skeptics do not wish to embarrass or ridicule anyone, but rather express a sincere wish to discover such abilities or devices if they exist, learn about how they work and give credit where it is due. If however, the claimant is found to be fraudulent in their claims they will not be awarded the prize money and Australian Skeptics would then reserve the right to expose the fraud in order to prevent clients from wasting time and money on fraudulent goods or services.

The challenge has been offered since 1980, and the results of each test will be published in The Skeptic, the magazine of Australian Skeptics.

For more details on how to take the challenge visit the Australian Skeptics website.

This is a clever idea, how interesting it would be to watch those who participate.
