Following on from the success of the inaugural Australian Piano Duo Festival in 2012, this year's Australian Piano Duo Festival will present an exciting range of concert events and masterclasses across three venues in Brisbane from Sunday 31st of August 2014.

Running for eight jam-packed days, the Australian Piano Duo Festival programme features classical performances of piano duet and piano duo repertoire by a talented selection of celebrated and emerging Brisbane artists.

One particular festival highlight is a special Tribute concert to Brisbane icons Max Olding and Pamela Page on Wednesday 3rd September. The Concert events will take place in the Conservatorium of Music, Brisbane City Hall and Nickson Room UQ.

A range of music from all periods and styles will be performed, including some of the great romantic and contemporary works, as well as premiere performances of new compositions by Australian composers. The full concert programme can be viewed here.

The Australian Piano Duo Festival also aims to promote repertoire, performance and the teaching of music for piano in a fun and supportive atmosphere.

The masterclass programme is designed for young and tertiary piano students and encourages students to perform as a piano duo. The full programme can be viewed here.

The Australian Piano Duo Festival promises to be an entertaining week of piano-duo brilliance - all are invited to come along and enjoy the fun festivities.
