The Australian Paranormal and Spiritual Expo is an unusual day out in Sydney and an excellent opportunity to meet ghost hunters, psychics and paranormal experts.

Whether you're a true believer, a hardened sceptic or simply paranormal-curious there is plenty of exciting things happening to keep everyone busy with stalls selling spiritual books, crystals, artwork and aura photography, candles, tarot cards, and collectables.

You can find rare ghost hunting tools such as EVP readers (Electronic Voice Phenomenon), electromagnetic readers (I actually saw this in action during a workshop and it was totally creepy!) night vision cameras and plenty of ghosthunting books.
Famous paranormal and spiritual authors will be in attendance so you can find out first hand the stories that inspired the book and purchase an autographed copy.

The mezzanine level is where you will find the psychic readings. Cost for these readings is additional. Make sure you book your time slot in early or face the inevitable disappointment at not knowing what your future holds. Research your psychic medium to find one that matches your needs. My reading last year was spookily accurate predicting a specific and major career change (from corporate to creative) and multiple Disneyland visits which weren't planned but happened!

There are workshops and talks running throughout the day and the best way to make the most of these is to take the VIP package which includes the following workshops:

"Mentalist, Hypnotist, Mind Magician" with Phoenix, "Undercover Mediums" with Andrea Kaldy, "Sensing Spirit: Signs and messages from the spirit world" with Mitchell Coombes, "Urban Exploration and the fusion of the Paranormal" with Attila Kaldy and finishing the day with "Conspiracies and Coincidences" with Amanda Howard.

It also includes early entry, VIP area with snacks, priority seating in workshops, special VIP entrance, souvineer lanyard plus much more. The VIP package can be purchased here.

It is possible to join a single workshop however at $50 for each workshop it is much better value to go the VIP package which is only $100. There are a couple of free workshops (after paying the $5 entrance fee) that will be running this year which will be announced closer to the event date.

Last year I attended a couple of workshops and they were professionally run, highly informative and will give you a fascinating insight into worlds beyond the everyday. The most popular workshop will be 'messages from the spirit world' so if you are keen for this, buy your tickets in advance as they will sell out.



Whilst there are paranormal investigators at the expo, most 'ghost hunters' will try to find a logical explanation first, however some experiences don't always defy logic. During a workshop the host mentioned an experience of a porcelain statue flying off the mantelpiece across the room. There was no explaining this event. What makes the location unique is it is supposedly haunted and monthly ghost tours are run of the Casula Powerhouse Centre. For an unusual day out, you simply can't beat the Paranormal & Spiritual Expo.

Getting There
The Casula Powerhouse Centre is located at 1 Powerhouse Road Casula, adjacent to Casula train station however Casula Road is permanently closed over the railway tracks. Parking on the station side of the railway is limited. Make sure you enter via Shepherd Street Liverpool which will bring you into the parking station for the Powerhouse Centre.

Important Information
There is a cafe onsite selling drinks, snacks and coffee. There is an ATM however it's recommended to take sufficient cash with you.
Entry to the Oz Paranormal & Spiritual Expo is $5 plus workshops or readings are an additional cost.
