Walk around the Australian National Botanic Gardens and you'd have to be pretty unlucky to not spot at least one lizard. If you hear a rustling along the path stop and look around, and you might spot one.

One of the best places to see them is at the Rock Garden, which you'll find along the main path. There's a running waterfall, and the lizards litter the many rocks. At first they seem to blend in, but just stop and look for a while and you'll notice more and more appearing.

Remember that they're wild animals, so they shouldn't be handled, but that doesn't mean they're not lots of fun to look at.
