Get your science on at the Australian Museum
I had the pleasure of attending the annual family friendly Australian Museum Science Festival and cannot wait for next year's festival to kick off again as we all had a blast.
From the informative and extremely interesting talk shows to the workshops and shows, it was a science day experience that the whole family loved and it took science to a whole new level of interesting.
There was over two hundred exhibitors and presenters, scientists and activities for all ages. Ranging from biology, chemistry, engineering and everything else in between, shows, talks and many more interactive and engaging learning activities.... it was no wonder we stayed the whole day!
On the day there was a nitrogen show that was extremely captivating, while the puppet show kept the kiddies entertained and the cute Australian wildlife made a visit too!
There was a gardening workshop, oceans talk which was interesting along with the Tasty Science Show which really presented the sense of 'taste' in a different perspective... chilli is my new best friend!
Face painting and giveaways along with competitions were all taking place at the event.
The live animal show was informative and probably one of my favourites on the day (we are all animal lovers) and it was a hands-on show, which was great for the kids.
The workshops were all interesting; unfortunately we did not see all of them as there were so many things to do!
I can brag on and on about how amazing this festival was, and how interactive and informative it is for both the children and us adults, but then I will spoil all the fun.
If you were not able to attend the festival day, do not worry the science festival is still on from 19-21 August and the tickets include museum entry and gallery visits. Do note that for additional workshops there is a fee and they must be all pre-booked (can be done online or over the phone).
