Wed 19 Sep 2018 - Sun 23 Sep 2018

The is a biannual event designed for those who enjoy using sewing machines of all sizes and in particular, love quilting. An internationally renowned festival, this year's anticipated event will take over the Adelaide Convention Centre and transform it into a one-stop shopping destination, with handpicked vendors offering everything you need to get creative and an educational hub with masterclasses and interactive workshops for all skill levels!Whilst the isn't till 19 to 23 September 2018, early bird ticketing and masterclass and workshop registration will open on 25 March 2018!The was founded by Tracey Browning of Constantine Quilts. Tracey was inspired to create a quilting festival in Australia after she was invited to teach at the amazing Machine Quilter's Exposition, run by JL & Mary in Manchester, New Hampshire. Tracey went on to teach at two more Machine Quilter's Expositions, as well as MQS - Machine Quilting Show, and the Home Machine Quilting Show in Salt Lake City, UT.After seeing the success of these fabulous shows in the US, which brought together vendors, exhibits, competitions and brilliant teachers, Tracey believed that Australian quilters needed these opportunities here. Tracey regards these events as not only a great educational tool, but also an opportunity for similar-minded quilters to come together and share their knowledge and experiences with one another. The commenced in 2010, when Tracey was approached by one of her customers, Sharon Parkinson. Tracey and Sharon held the inaugural event in Mawson Lakes Lutheran School and since then, the biannual event has been held with the support of Tracey's students and passionate volunteers. Sharon retired in 2015 to enjoy quilting and the event continues to grow with Tracey at the helm.
The now brings together a huge variety of products in one convenient location. All companies big, medium and small are proudly represented, allowing quilters to see and test everything onsite. There will be vendors who specialise in creating fabrics with paints, inks & stencils, quilt shops, thread vendors, machine vendors, pattern designers, notions (lots of rulers), books, DVDs and gadgets from all over Australia! You are also sure to be inspired by the mini-demonstrations in booths, as well as on-stage demonstrations! And you'll get access to all this for the small entrance fee of $12 or you can attend as a student by purchasing a registration bag and selecting which masterclasses and workshops you would like to participate in. The registration bag fee includes a fantastic bag filled with goodies and a name badge that gets you entry to the vendor mall and quilts for the entire event. There will be over 90 masterclasses and workshops to choose from over four days and domestic machines will be provided for all students, so you don't need to bring your own with you (one classroom is going to be full of lovely new Bernina machines and the other with new Brother machines). All these machines will be available for sale at a great price after the event, so if you fall in love with one, you can put your name on it and take it home!Another classroom will be full of Handi Quilter Simply 16 machines on frames for the hands-on longarm classes, which are being presented for the first time (you can also put your name on one of these to take home!) There will be two dedicated classrooms for drawing, design, colouring, handwork and lectures and two more for longarm demonstrations and lectures. Machines in these two rooms have been kindly supplied by Bernina Australia and Hans Martini - with the Qnique longarm machine. Please take a moment to appreciate each of these companies who will be making a huge effort to bring, setup and maintain all their machines for the duration of the festival. The reason they are doing it is for you, to learn, improve and be inspired! Classes will range from two to six hours with a few in-between - search for your ideal masterclass or workshop today via the website .If you have previously attended an event, simply login and start working on your schedule.
