Australian Machine Quilting Festival - AMQF is a biennial event which commenced in 2010.
This year's festival, the fourth, will be held from Thursday August 25 until Sunday August 28. Venue is the Adelaide Convention Centre, North Terrace, Adelaide.
As the name suggests "The Australian Machine Quilting Festival is dedicated to providing inspiration, education and encouragement to all machine quilters that own a longarm, midarm and/or domestic sewing machine".
What is there to see and do at AMQF?
Network with like-minded people in the quilting industry at the Cocktail Party Launch from 4.30pm on Thursday 25 August.
Enjoy finger food, a complimentary drink and go into the draw to win a "Tula Pink Bernina 350TL Sewing Machine" valued at $1,999.
Be entertained with a special presentation by Guest Quilter, Claudia Pfeil from Germany.
Take advantage of the evening hours opening of the Vendor Mall and have a "First Look" at the specialty goods available from 6.30pm to 9pm.
AMQF features up to 40 vendor booths and free demonstrations from experts in the field.
Come back again over the next couple of days and shop or ask questions at your leisure. Soak up the atmosphere and be sure to take a look at the magnificent quilts on display.
There will be an awesome display provided by the talented Tasmanian Modern Quilt Guild Members.
AMQ Association Inc Quilt Show 2016 will showcase stunning machine quilted entries in a judged competition. See the amazing quilts and be inspired.
AMQF is a hands-on educational show for all machine quilters and those that love to sew. There are still some spaces available in Classes provided by both National and Internationally accredited tutors, specialising in machine quilting and sewing.
