Get your motor running at the 2010 Australian International Motor Show.

To see all the latest home grown models alongside Europe's finest and what cars we'll be driving in the future spin your wheels down to Darling Harbour.

The Motor Show caters to car tragics, petrol heads, green motoring enthusiasts and there are special treats for the kids and car film buffs.

For speed freaks the Lamborghini will unveil its Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera on the opening day.

According to the website the: "Superleggera or 'super-light' version of the Gallardo is 70kg lighter than the Gallardo LP 560-4, making it the lightest car in Lamborghini's line-up. Powered by a 5.2-litre V10 engine, it generates 419kW of power and 540Nm of torque and accelerates from 0-100km/h in 3.4 seconds and has the capacity to reach 200km/h after just 10.2 seconds."

There's something for the whole family with Movie cars and stars bringing a touch of Hollywood glamour to the official AIMS Family Day on Saturday, October 23.

A host of cars will be on display including the original cars from Herbie and The Blues Brothers alongside replicas from Gone in 60 Seconds and a remake of the 'General Lee' from the Dukes of Hazzard.

Family-favourite Shrek will take top billing joined by face painters, clowns, magicians and balloon artists from 10am on the Family Day.

The first-ever Ford Performance Vehicles supercharged V8 engine GT and GS models will make their public debut at AIMS.

According to the website: "the GT's engine will produce 335kW of power and 570Nm of torque, while the engine in the GS will produce 315kW of power and 545Nm of torque. FPV claims both engine configurations will be more powerful, more fuel-efficient and cleaner than any engine previously offered by the company."

For the motorsport enthusiasts Peugeot's 24 Hours of Le Mans-winning 908 race car and Bruce Garland's Isuzu D-MAX Dakar challenger will headline the line-up.
