A taste of the Northern hemisphere in Sydney
Gone are the days when the closest thing we could get to ice hockey in Sydney was watching The Mighty Ducks on TV.

Australian International Ice Hockey Cup

The Australian International Ice Hockey Cup has been held in Sydney since 2009. It is a fantastic opportunity for Sydneysiders to get a taste of this exciting sport and to watch international teams battle it out to win the Cup. In 2013, the Montreal Maples will play against the USA Eagles in a series of nail-biting games.

The beauty of ice hockey is that it is a fast-paced spectator sport that can be enjoyed by novices young and old. So pick a team - Team Canada or Team America and soak in the game.

Be sure to rug up and wear plenty of warm clothing. Temperatures can be close to zero inside the ice arena.

You are not allowed to bring food or drinks to the games. However, reasonably priced snacks are available at the venue.
