The Australian Heritage Festival for 2022 commenced on 1st April 2022 and is the largest annual community-driven Heritage event in Australia. You still have plenty of time to catch up on the massive programme of FREE and ticketed events as the Festival continues until 31st May 2022. The programme includes exhibitions, walk tours, films, expert talks, workshops, food fairs, tours of historical sites, ceremonies, demonstrations, special dinners, lunches and much more.

The Festival is a celebration of natural, historic and Indigenous heritage places and activities across New South Wales and Nationally with this year's theme being to "inspire curiosity". There is so much to be curious about when it comes to Australia's heritage when we have a full range of inherited traditions, monuments, objects and cultures, while also restoring these for future generations.

As Australia is emerging out of a particularly rough couple of years, now is the time to explore what we have close by. The programme is now live for public viewing and the following gives you an overview of what there is to see.

Making Good: Convict Artisans in Exile, Old Government House, Parramatta
