Born and bred in Brisbane, I'm a food enthusiast who will venture anywhere in search of a delectable bite. From market stalls to three-hatted restaurants, my taste buds don't discriminate!
Have you ever wanted to peg a raw egg at someone's head? Here's your chance to tick it off the bucket list!
My other half and I took part in the inaugural Australian Egg Throwing Championships last year for a bit of fun. I have to say, it was exciting to watch that moment to see whether he would end up with raw egg all over him! (My lack of coordination may have been exaggerated for the occasion…)
This year's event will be held at the Beenleigh Showgrounds on Sunday 21 September 2014 in conjunction with the Eliminators Hot Rod & Car Show (registrations from 9am to 11am). Guaranteed to be a bundle of egg-citing fun, the event will include throwing and catching competitions and Russian egg roulette.

There are two age categories for the former, under 13s and the opens, which ensures that the whole family can join in the fun! Russian egg roulette involves half a dozen eggs and two people who each take turns to smash an egg on their head - and the person who is lucky enough to find the raw egg is eliminated.
Last year's championships were so successful that ex World Heavyweight Boxing Champion, Joe Bugner, has signed up to be the event's 2014 ambassador. The champ himself will be there to meet fans, and there will also be memorabilia signed by Joe up for grabs in the silent auction!

Entry to the competition costs $10 per team of two and all proceeds raised will be donated to the Lions Children's Mobility Foundation.
