Last weekend, Margaret Court Arena in Melbourne Olympic Park was given over to a very different competition - the .



Events run back to back, representing hundreds of dancers from all over Australia. Amazingly breathtaking ballgowns, hairstyles from fairytales, sparkles of smiles and camera flashes filled the arena to the brim.



A number of sponsors and supporters were present in the VIP area. Interflora, VicRoads, Accor Hotels (Sofitel) were among them.



If you were lucky enough, you had a chance to attend night session on 8 December when all the finals took place, New Vogue, Junior Latin and ABC competitions among them.



Also, the audience was given a special present - international stars, winners of many European and World dance competitions Bjorn Bitsch and Ashli Williamston.



One of the most memorable moments from the night was the social dancing part of the event. In the intermission, hundreds of people from the audience walked on to the dance floor to partake in one of the biggest social dances.



I guess this is what it is all about: enjoying dancing, music, connection.
