Australian Burlesque Festival
Australian Burlesque Festival

The burlesque is an art that is getting more and more adept every year worldwide. Music, performance and fashion are the keys of this revival phenomenon that seems to have many followers in Australia.

Or at least this is what the Australian Burlesque Festival wants to promote. It starts on June the 7th and lasts until the 24th in different cities accross Australia, including Sydney. Produced by Melbourne burlesque artists Dolores Daiquiri and Rosy Rabbit, The Australian Burlesque Festival will be holding this year its third edition, with exciting performances and activites.

Created in order to celebrate the beauty of the burlesque, the show will count with the collaboration of the 'queen of burlesque' Imogen Kelly, originally from Sydney among other Australian artists. Some other international stars that have never been to Australia before will perform in this festival as well.

This event is not only for burlesque passionates but also for beginners. For this reason, being a community based experience, the Festival will also hold workshops with people from the industry that will introduce burlesque to all people that are interested in this fine glamourous art.

If you are interested in attending this event, you can book your tickets online. The festival will take place on 95-99 York St.
