The Australian Boat Race boasts a longstanding tradition between two of Australia's oldest Universities, Melbourne and Sydney. This year's anticipated event will take place along the Yarra River in the heart of Melbourne on Sunday 22nd of October 2017.

All are welcome to come along and join in the excitement as the Universities' best race to the finish line!
Melbourne are undefeated in the women's since the inaugural race in 2009 while Sydney has dominated the men's winning all but two.
A showdown between the Universities' best men's and women's college teams kicks off the event at 9am, with the main races starting at 9.45am.
The main spectator area is located at the finish line in front of Melbourne University Boat Club on Boathouse Drive in the City (opposite side of the river to Federation Square). It's FREE to view, so come down with the family and catch all the action on the big screen and enjoy free barista-made coffee.
