Have some Snapping Good Fun
Crickey! Have you been to Australia Zoo lately?
I have never been to Australia Zoo. And, if I were to be honest, I had no interest in going, ever.
But when I was (almost) dragged along with the family, I found out why Australia Zoo is "The Ultimate Wildlife Adventure".
First piece of advice: wear comfortable shoes and plan to be there all day. Even then, you may not get to see everything on offer.
My Zoo Highlights:
1. The Crocoseum This is a terrific wildlife performance. The Wildlife Warriors performance at 12 noon is snapping good fun. Watching Crocs and their trainers, birds that entertain the crowds, and learn some fun facts along the way.
4. Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital This state-of-the-art hospital, is home to many precious and sick or injured wildlife. You can walk through and maybe even see a surgery taking place. Here are some fun facts about the hospital: Up to 100 wildlife emergency calls are received daily Up to 30 different species are admitted to the hospital daily
An average of 70 koalas come through the hospital every month Approximately 70% of patients are victims of car accidents or domestic pet attacks The cost to treat one animal ranges from $380 - $1500 and up to $5000 for one koala
