Help The Animals, Solve Puzzles and See The Coast
One of Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors' biggest supporters has a new initiative to raise funds for the vital cause. Tegan Lather, the Joey Ambassador for the charity started by Steve and Terri Irwin, is calling on all car enthusiasts to help her raise money for important projects including the Zoo's Wildlife Hospital.

The 13-year-old has raised more than $30,000 for the hospital in the past two years and in 2013 she wants to raise even more. That's her motivation behind her latest initiative, the Family Fun Day Car Rally Fundraiser on Sunday May 26 starting at the Wildlife Hospital itself. The 2012 event was a huge success by raising $5225 with 50 cars and more than 200 people, but Tegan wants to double those figures this year.

Plenty of local tourist attractions and operators have already signed up to help out with challenges and prizes including Big Kart Track and Aussie World. They and many more will be helping out with challenges on the day, so expect a few surprises.

Tegan says the day will have a couple of challenges set up ala The Amazing Race. Cars will start at the Zoo and from there solve clues and make their way around the Coast. Entry for each car is only $125 for up to five people with all profits going to charity. Plus, entrants will get free entry into the zoo at the end of the day, and enjoy hand feeding the elephants. First prize on the day will be a five night stay at SeaView Resort at Mooloolaba in a two bedroom apartment valued at more than $1100. If you're interested, sign up here.
Tegan says, "Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors do such an amazing job and we just wanted to try to help out by raising money for them so they can continue to do their excellent work."
It's great to see someone so young and so passionate about saving the animals. Help Tegan out in her fundraising ambitions by signing up, it's sure to be a blast.
