Warm up for Australia Day at the Doomben Turf Club on Saturday 24th January 2015. It's a long weekend so why wait until the Monday to party? Horse racing holds an important part in Australia's heritage. Come along and celebrate everything that's great about Australia with an Aussie race day.

Doomben is putting on the ultimate Aussie Warm Up Day with Australia Day tucker and Aussie activities throughout the day.

Race goers are encouraged to show their true blue colours in fair dinkum Aussie attire. Have some fun with Aussie flag clothing, swaggie hats and other ensembles than only Australians would be brave enough to wear in public. It wouldn't be a summer event in Australia without seeing at least one person sweating it out in a full length banana costume and a couple of Richie Benaud impersonators.



Watch the fun of competitors biting off more than they can chew in the Man vs Snag competition.

Patrons can register to take part in the XXXX Can Race for a chance to win some great prizes or just sit back and enjoy a drink from the XXXX Summer van while enjoying live music.

Families and kids aren't left out of the traditional Aussie fun. The BMag Family Zone has Aussie inspired rides, activities and entertainment all day.



The gates open at 11am and the first race jumps at 12.55pm. The fair dinkum fun continues all day until last race at 5.20pm.

There are various types of admissions for the day. General admission is available at the gate for $15 adults or $8 for students and seniors. Pensioners and children under 18 are free.

For an upgrade, try buying a Billabong. A Trackside Billabong costs $40 per person (minimum group of 10). Book one Billabong package and you can camp for the day right next to the action with a reserved area, umbrella and blow up pool; the total Aussie experience. The $40 includes entry to the racecourse.

The Australia Day Warm Up is held at Doomben Racecourse, Nudgee Road, Ascot on Saturday 24 January 2015. Take advantage of a great day out on the Saturday but don't forget to pace yourself so you still have energy left for Australia Day.
