On Thursday 26 January 2016, The Hills Shire Council is hosting their popular annual family-friendly Australia Day celebration from 10am to 9pm.
Enjoy a jam-packed day of show-stopping performances from your favourite Aussie artists including Ricki-Lee, Chris Sebastian and Alfie Arcuri, plus great rides and attractions, FREE kid's activities, delicious street food, roving performers, a spectacular fireworks display and so much more at Bella Vista Farm!
Start the day with a classic sausage sizzle underneath the Bunya Pines, before dropping by the kid's zone, where the littlies can enjoy face-painting, balloon twisting, a pop-up library and live entertainment.
Discover the Shire's colonial past with historical displays and convict flogging; Australiana displays showcasing sheep shearing, blacksmithing and whip cracking; and working dog demonstrations from Tobruk Sheep Station.
And in addition toe-tapping performances by Ricki-Lee, Chris Sebastian and Alfie Arcuri on the main stage, there will be great local talent on the community stage. Adding to the festive atmosphere will be amusement rides and roving performers!
If you're feeling hungry, why not indulge in a delicious Devonshire Tea (or two) at the old homestead or feast on a huge range of delicious street food options from some of Sydney's best food trucks.
And to finish the day there will be an amazing fireworks display to delight the whole family.
Entry is FREE and all are welcome to come along!
