On Thursday the 26th of January 2023,
The Barossa Council's Australia Day celebrations will kick off with a free community breakfast at Tanunda Show Hall from 8am. The breakfast is put on by Kiwanis Barossa and a coffee van will also be onsite to offer tea, coffee and sweets.
This will then be followed by a citizenship ceremony as well as an Australia Day award winners presentation. These awards aim to recognise the community's achievements through Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year, Community Event of the Year and Award for Active Citizenship. You are invited to come along and join other members of the community in reflecting, respecting and celebrating as we are all part of the story.
Although the event is free, bookings are required and can be made online via their
website. Tanunda Show Hall is located at 29 Elizabeth Street in Tanunda.
