Australia Day is celebrated in a big way in the City of Perth. Skyworks attracts more than 300,000 people, making these celebrations on the Perth Foreshore on Saturday 26 January 2019 the largest in the country. Supported by Lotterywest and presented by City of Perth, Mix94.5 and Channel 9, it's free, fun, and for the family. Check here for road closures and the event map.

Entertainment begins at 3pm and Fireworks at 8pm. Head over to the Lotterywest Entertainment Zone at Langley Park and the Birak Concert at the Supreme Court Gardens for the entertainment, then mark your spot on the foreshore for some spectacular fireworks that'll fill the night sky.

Langley Park is not only the best vantage point for the fireworks, it's also filled with activities for the family from 3-7.45pm. Kids are going to love Carnival Land which is suited for all ages and adrenaline levels. Feeling hot? No worries. Water Playground will sort that out. Feeling competitive? Let your inner athlete shine and take up the challenge with friends at obstacle courses, skill games and more.

Unleash that creativity with the colourful community art mural or be a watcher at the Freestyle Motocross and BMX and watch the best of Australia's extreme action talent perform amazing, mind-blowing stunts and crazy tricks. If you're getting hungry after all that activity, there's an International Food Market running from 3-8pm, filled with dishes from around the globe. Perhaps you can keep the Australia Day tradition alive with the Rotary Club's Big Aussie Sausage Sizzle in the same timeframe and have a snagger for a snack.

Birak Concert at Supreme Court Gardens from 3-7.30pm will be celebrating the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island cultures with a stellar lineup of Indigenous Entertainment. Hosted by Phil Walley-Stack from Walleystack International the event will also be broadcast by Noongar Radio. Bring a picnic blanket, sunscreen and hat and layback and enjoy the entertainment. This year's lineup has a jam-packed stage schedule with talent from across the state, including a traditional Welcome to Country. Enjoy inflatable amusements, dance workshops, community stalls, historical displays and the return of the Elders Marquee.

There's roving entertainers and performers adding to the fun atmosphere that includes Balloon Artistry, a Samba Band, Puppeteers, a Magician, Hula Lula Ladies Band, Shrinking Violet Stilt Walkers, and the Dinosaur Kids Train.

Spanning over 10 hectares along the South Perth foreshore, you'll find food vendors, an Art Tent with activities kids can be inspired by and more, in a safe, alcohol and smoke-free environment.
