Celebrate our National day by learning the art of fresh sausage making on Thursday 26th January 2017 from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
All are welcome to come along and join in. Over two-hours, you will learn how to make and cook the perfect 'snag' at home from scratch. From the best cuts to use, to how to grind and flavour the meat, to how to fill natural sausage casings and the perfect way to cook your sausages.
Then once the hard work is done, you can sit down, admire the view of the Yarra River and CBD skyline and enjoy a sit-down gourmet sausage lunch with a nice cold beer.
Bookings are essential and course notes, chef's apron and all required equipment will be supplied. To make a booking, please click here. The participation fee is $45 and includes a 2 hour workshop, followed by a sit-down gourmet sausage lunch with a complimentary beer. Bring a cooler bag along so you can take your fresh produce home safely.
In addition to the Australia Day Sausage Making Class, there will be a range of Australia Day festivities all day on the Common Lawn. Come down and catch all the Australian Open action on the big screen and listen to Triple J's Hottest 100 Countdown. There will also be face painting for kids and the whole family to get in on.
