Celebrate Australia Day in the Barossa Valley for breakfast
Unfortunately, we sometimes gauge our years in events, and we know all too well that once the festivities and holidays are over for New Year, we are looking forward to the next public holiday and celebratory event – Australia Day. No matter what day it is on, Australia Day is still a day to celebrate our nation as a whole as we come together as one with a culture of many.

The Barossa Council is commemorating Australia Day with a community breakfast hosted by Kiwanis Barossa. Although this is a FREE event, you must register to attend as numbers are capped. If you are wanting to attend, please register early, as ticket sales end on 21 January. The breakfast commences from 8.00 am through to 11.00am at Tanunda Show Hall, 29 Elizabeth Street, Tanunda.
During the breakfast, awards will be handed out for:
Citizen of the Year
Young Citizen of the Year
Community Event of the Year
Award for Active Citizenship
There will be a coffee van offering tea, coffee and sweets and there will be live music from a local artist, giant games and colouring-in for the kids.
We are excited by the festivities from other countries around the world but Australia's Day of 26 January is a day for everyone to unite in respect, reflection and celebration of our great Nation.
