Suttons Beach will play host to one of the most Aussie events ever conceived on Thursday, January 26. It's all part of a huge line up of free entertainment and activities planned for the public holiday.
The day kicks off at 2pm and run through to 7:30pm.
Free family fun for all
Don't worry - if you have a thing about using a toilet in public, there are plenty of other activities to choose from. The Gardens Games area promises to have a bunch on including Giant Beer Pong, Giant Jenga, and Tic Tac Toe.
Or how about an eating competition? Specifically lamingtons. Be sure to check out the main stage from 3:45pm for a truly Aussie event. Anyone can enter, just make yourself known at the front of the stage for your chance to win some "Aussie prizes".
If lamingtons aren't your thing, there's plenty more to do. Organisers have a large line up of musical artists including Juzzie Smith, Little Georgia, and Fat Picnic. There will also be free face painting, arts and crafs for the kids, and food and drink stalls.
Fat Picnic will perform on the main stage from 6:45pm.
Of course there will be the traditional games of beach cricket, sack races, and volley ball. If you fancy a dip you'll be able to head out on the water with the Float 'n' Fun Paddle Boards and Peddle Boards.
Get in early for the best spot on the beach
The night promises to end with a fireworks display from 7:30pm. Bring a blanket and grab yourself a position on the beach early in the day for the best vantage point.
Here's what you'll find happening at the main stage throughout Australia Day at Redcliffe.
As always, it's best to plan ahead when it comes to travel. Look into Translink's journey planner to find the best bus to and from the event. If you really want to drive yourself, be prepared for a bit of a walk to the beach.
And remember, pack plenty of sunscreen! This summer has been brutal.
