Meet, play, laugh

Aussies are renowned for their ability to laugh at themselves and whilst many consider this to be an endearing quality, there is another laughter option that is gaining popularity and it's lots of fun. What's more, it's sooo good for the soul!
This Australia Day, pack your picnic basket and head to New Farm Park where you'll be welcome to join laughter yoga devotees as they celebrate our special day with fun and laughter. Be a part of the happiest happy hour in Brisbane on Tuesday, January 26th by joining a special 'Aussie Aussie Aussie ha ha ha' laughter yoga session in New Farm Park.
Laughter yoga is one of the fastest growing – and most fun – exercise programs in the world. It has nothing to do with jokes or stand-up comedy: it's a blend of deep yogic breathing, gentle stretching, a dash of playfulness and a series of simulated laughter exercises for proven physiological and psychological benefits.
The Australia Day session, hosted by the Brisbane Laughter Club, will take place near the New Farm Park rotunda from 11am. BYO water bottle, sun screen and permission to laugh for absolutely no reason other than you can! Laughter sessions run for about 45 minutes and would have to be one of the least expensive "feel good" experiences Brisbane has to offer, with just a gold coin donation requested. Take the opportunity to meet some of Brisbane's laughers at a BYO picnic following the session.
The Brisbane Laughter Club can be found – or heard! – in New Farm Park every Saturday at 10am practising laughter yoga. More information about laughter yoga and the Brisbane Laughter Club can be found on the Brisbane Laughter Club Facebook page.
Why not try something new? Come along and give it a go and discover for yourself just how good it is to release all those "feel good" endorphins!
