Proudly brought to you by the City of Fremantle and the City of Cockburn, the free Australia Day festivities will once again feature plenty of colour and music, entertainment, food stalls, kids activities, live music, and ceremonies, starting at 1pm and finishing late.
The Australia Day entertainment and activities will include:

The highlight of the Australia Day celebrations will be the Indian Ocean Fireworks. Starting at 8pm, the popular display will light up the night sky over Bathers Bay, lasting for approximately twenty minutes.

Fishing Boat Harbour
The annual Australia Day Indian Ocean Fireworks is a popular family-friendly event and a great way to celebrate Australia Day. A fun, family day out for all ages to enjoy, and everyone is invited to attend this community event.
There is plenty of parking in the Fremantle area, but it will be busy and people are encouraged to use public transport where possible.
There are some road closures to consider when making your way into Fremantle for the Australia Day celebrations:
Corner of Mews Road and Mews Road Crossing into Fishing Boat Harbour - closed from 6.00 pm to 9.30 pm
Wardan Lane - closed from 6.00 pm to 9.30 pm.
Fleet Street - closed from 6.00 pm to 9.30 pm.
No entry or exit from Mews Road between 6.00 pm and 9.30 pm.
Monument Hill Reserve closed to vehicle traffic from 6.00 pm Monday 25th January until 7.00 am Wednesday 27th January.
The Australia Day Indian Ocean Fireworks 2016 is an alcohol free event, and antisocial behaviour will not be tolerated.
