Holroyd City Council has gone to great lengths to create a great Australia Day for those living in Western Sydney. One of its main draws is Michael 'Chucky' Norris, from Nitro Circus, who will be performing crazy tricks and stunts alongside two other top freestyle motocross riders.

Chucky says, "I love what I do and it's great when we do it live, especially to audiences in Australia. We're stoked to be celebrating Australia Day in Sydney and hope everyone comes down to watch us, it's going to be epic!"

There will be two freestyle motocross shows to catch, with both taking place as part of the a concert running in Merrylands Park. The first is scheduled to take place between 5.30pm and 6.00pm and the second from 8.15pm to 8.45pm, with the latter timed to coincide with the City's firework display.

Freestyle Motorcross isn't all that's on the agenda though - just the grand finale in a long day of entertainment. The concert will begin at 5.00pm and end at 9.00pm, and will also feature hip hop dance acts and a performance from Three Wishez, who were semi-finalists in the 2011 series of The X Factor Australia.

There will also be a Pool Party at Merrylands Swim Centre on Burnett Street, with live DJ and a range water inflatables, games and activities. This event will run from 10.00am to 3.00pm, with free entry before midday.

The day will also include Holroyd's biggest ever BBQ, dessert and beverage stalls, displays, and amusement rides. Click here for a schedule of events.
