In a diverse community, Australia Day is a great time to celebrate all that we have in common and what it means to be Australian. The City of Greater Dandenong invites you to come out and celebrate at Dandenong Park, Pultney St, Dandenong on Friday 26 January 2018 from 3pm to 9.30pm. It's going to be a day full of activities, and entertainment, and entry is free to this smoke and alcohol-free, all ages event.

This award-winning festival will commence with a Welcome to Country and a Smoking Ceremony by a Wurundjeri Elder, followed by a Flag Raising Ceremony and Australia Day Awards on the main stage. The festival aims to create awareness about Australia's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island people, history and culture of our multicultural community. It's a good day for us all to gather and reflect on what it means to be Australian and celebrate things we have in common.

There'll be two stages with live entertainment, roving performers, a dedicated food court and community and market stalls. There are free family activities and exciting rides from two to six dollars. Ride your bike to the festival and receive two free ride tokens while taking advantage of the free valet bike parking. The grand finale fireworks at 9.25pm will conclude the festival. Bring one, bring all and enjoy this community event that attracts over 11,000 local residents. For more information contact Council on 8571 1000.
